Your home of IBS Friendly Recipes

This is your number one time saving resource for your Sunday food prep for the week specialising on IBS friendly recipes.

What we are not

This isn’t your typical meal prep site which has photos of 20+ plastic containers filled with meat and veg (although, that is a great way to plan your week if you don’t mind the repetition) and it’s also not a glam food blog.

Who we are

Rather Food Prep Sundays comes from the perspective of an efficient, forward planning, full time working Foodie. I love to explore new recipes that are still quick (between 15 – 30 minutes), simple (no fancy appliances or maneuvers), healthy and portioned for 4 serves, tummy friendly (for IBS or gut health sufferers) and of course YUM. Get the specifics of what each recipe entails here. So here it is, your mid week cooking inspo where you can be confident each meal is well balanced and won’t leave you tearing your hair out and driving to McDonalds on Tuesday night at 9pm.

The health blog for busy foodies

So basically, rather than being a food blog, it’s actually a time saving blog. Time; that scarce resource that we’re all guilty of using as our number one excuse for not achieving our goals.

Food Prep Sundays takes the ehk out of your food planning for the week so you can spend Monday-Friday vibrant, in control and energised.

Have a look around and if you like what you find, feel free to sign up to the e-mail list to receive 12 weeks of meal plans to help you along your food prep journey.

To provide some background, I really dislike cooking – I am not creative, I find it a lot of effort for little reward and recipes frustrate me as they are so time consuming, full of way too many ingredients (most that I have never heard) and end up being very expensive due to my lack of supplies. I am known by my friends and family as a simple chef with a signature dish of apricot chicken (consisting of chicken drumsticks, apricot nectar, french onion soup and rice) and who is more than happy to avoid cooking at any cost. That was until I discovered Food Prep Sundays…I now look forward to my turn of cooking for my friends and family and trying something new from the blog. The recipes are incredible – they are healthy, quick and easy to make, very reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. They consist of a reasonable number of ingredients (that I have always heard of) and most of the time have in stock and the steps are described simply and so easy to follow. Every Sunday I look forward to the next lot of recipes being released and have recommended the blog to anyone and everyone that will listen. The blog is fantastic – it has completely changed my perception of cooking and my friends and family are extremely impressed at the chef I have become.

Little thought I wanted to share…. Anna’s approach to food and eating is a topic close to my own heart. The meals she creates enables the “chef” to make something that is not only healthy, but also delicious. She takes recipes and fashions them to ensure that they are portion controlled while incorporating five servings of vegetables for the day…something we all strive to do. Anna is an inspiration and I think she has created a wonderful way for us all to cook meals tried and tested, that are relatively simple, affordable, and most of all tasty! The basis of good health is the food we put into our body and the choices we make. Anna is someone who has always been healthy, adventurous, a keen learner and teacher. This blog is a way she emparts her knowledge and skills to others, a way to inform those who also like to eat and live well!

I spend most of my relationship arguing about what to eat. Anna makes the decision making easy as I know it’s always healthy and always easy.

I LOVE cooking and baking, and having others try my food. I am also a very busy person (aren’t we all?) so any way I can minimize shopping/cooking/meal ideas is a win to me. Food Prep Sundays is a great resource and one that I look at almost daily for food inspo. Anna has a great philosophy towards life, and food. I love that her meals are creative, simple, varied and most of all healthy, but still allowing for treats every now and then, as she is a fantastic advocate for balance. I have recently become the proud owner of a Thermomix, so I am most excited Anna has created a Thermomix section for her recipes, my other fave sections are vegetarian, chicken and fish. I know that personally, I feel a whole lot better about myself when I am making healthy food choices, Food Prep Sundays helps me with that and I encourage others to do the same.
